How To Get In Shape

1) Make Workouts a Fact of Life!
Working out is not optional! You must do it. And while some say that you should ease into an exercise routine — your best bet is to commit to doing some form of exercise EVERY DAY in order to make it a habit in the beginning. This doesn’t mean that you have to push yourself beyond your limits — always exercise at what doable for your body — but start with the goal of doing something every day.

If you’re not used to working out, try 30 minutes on the elliptical at the gym, or a 30-minute aerobics video at home — we recommend Leslie Sansone’s Start Walking! series, she is amazing and inspiring! Add Moriche Palm Diet supplements to your diet to help slim that waist and boost those curves!

2) Do It For Yourself!
Don’t get in shape for your partner, or your friends, you have to do it for yourself. Dig down deep for that self love, and use it propel you to make a change to make yourself better.

3) Get Selfish About Your Exercise Time!
You have to plan exercise and workout time, and no one or nothing else (short of an emergency) should interfere with that time. Don’t let the people in the life distract you from your goals, they might be trying to sabotage your progress, or are just being needy about wanting your time. Let them sweat it out while you sweat it out.

4) Have a Dedicated Work Area!
Whether that’s the gym, or a corner of your house where you keep your dumbbells and towels — have a space for you to work on your body. Just like people have an office to do their work.

5) Find A Workout Buddy!
Having a workout buddy is great, but don’t let it keep you from working out if they can’t. We’ve found that planning on going to a class with a friend sets some parameters and helps with accountability.

6) Keep Pushing Yourself!
Once you’ve established a routine (yay!), it’s important to not get comfortable just doing what you — always be setting new fitness and life goals!

Healthy Sandwich Spread

We found this delectable recipe at Karma Chow and thought we’d share…making your own food helps you appreciate every bite, and helps curb overeating! Remember to cut that sugar out too — it’s making you overeat, and gain unhealthy weight.

Ingredients:

—1 pound sweet potatoes, washed
—1 tsp. cumin powder
—1 large lemon, juiced
—1 tsp. sea salt
—Dash cayenne pepper (use more if you like spice)
—3 tablespoons olive oil (more if necessary)
—1 tbl. agave nectar
—1-15 oz. can chick peas
—2-3 tablespoons tahini
—Pita slices, toasted, or bagel chips
—Fresh ground black pepper

Bake or microwave sweet potatoes until fully cooked. Allow the potatoes to cool, then remove the skins (if they’re not organic) and discard them.

Add sweet potato to the food processor together with the lemon juice, cumin, salt, cayenne pepper, black pepper, agave, chick peas and tahini. Add olive oil while blending. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more oil if needed or a small amount of water if hummus is too thick.

Drizzle hummus with olive oil and sprinkle with pumpkin seeds — which are great for helping burn fat! Serve hummus with rice crackers or fresh veggies!
